That’s great she’s doing better! I would keep her on it for another few days and then give her a dose once a week.

Yeah there’s a reason for that. Not a lot of people have geese, there’s less goose owners than duck owners and those are far less than chicken owners. There’s very little info out there, most of which is from owners personal experience and being honest that isn’t always great, you should never...

In some ways I think fluctuating climates are worse than bitter constant cold, if it’s frigid all the time they can adapt to it and it’s normal, but if winters are in the 30s one week, down to 20s for the next few, up to 40s after that and then to have the temps drop into the lower teens or...

The main point of raising their nutritional intake with a higher protein feed in winter is because they’re burning more energy keeping warm in serious cold, lack of grass and sunlight can also compound the issue, they also need more carbs in winter too, and they start eating more as a result of...

My information is based on my experience. When temperatures dip below freezing all of my geese get hungrier and eat more. Early on when I had them, I had them on a 17% feed through the winter and they rapidly lost weight in the cold months and when they molted some of them got stress bars on...

Here’s another way to look at diet for adult geese. In colder months nutritional requirements go up, so you can put them on a higher protein feed “20%.” During molting their nutritional needs also go up so they need a higher protein feed “20%.” During warmer months when they aren’t molting...

For small to medium breeds “10lb to 15lb” it can pack a lot of weight on so you may have to monitor weight and be careful with portion sizes, for bigger birds “15lb to 20lb” it’s just right year round. Layers require extra calcium so oystershell free choice is an option.

You can give them layer feed but if you have ganders extra calcium isn’t great for their health and it’s not necessary for females during the off season when they aren’t laying. Flock raiser is a feed you can feed at all stages, another option is nutrena all flock, or purina duck feed...

Dumor is tractor supply’s brand, some haven’t had issue with it but I’ve had bad experiences, the quality isn’t great and it’s inconsistent. I’ve opened a few bags to find loads of oyster shell so I think it was excess layer feed that they repackaged.
