Awww! I’d love to see pics of all those sometime! :bow . Also, hopefully this won’t be my first and last batch of quails-I’m falling in love with raising them pretty darn quick!
Yeah, I honestly am keeping them anyways. I love them so much and they really are amazing. I wasn’t really that upset beyond the fact I paid extra for bobs. Either way, I’ll be keeping the little buggers. They own my heart :love
My eggs looked like that. So I guess they are coturnix? I hope so, but at this point I’m so mixed up! Should I ask for a refund? All the company said is that they insisted they were bobwhites. But that can’t be true!
The whole thing was weird- I’m confused I didn’t see it sooner. The order form, when I went back and checked, had the wrong name, number of egg, address and type of quail, and while I had the right number of eggs delivered, my type was wrong. A lottttt of small errors that I found weird...
chicks
this is the photo I posted where i was told they aren’t bobwhites
Also eggs were not white, but from what I’ve researched they looked more like cortunix than button quail eggs? I’m so confused!
Yes, I even emailed the company and they said it was a mix-up:hmm not too bothered by it but it makes my plan for raising them outside eventually harder.
The eggs I don’t have photos of, but when I posted the photos of their two-week a person told me they were buttons. I emailed the company and they said they were the wrong chicks and they didn’t know how they got it mixed up! Hopefully I get a refund!
Hey!
So my ENTIRE life is a lie and my quails are not bobwhites like I ordered-somehow I got buttons. I know the temps vary slightly for button v. Bobwhite incubation so I’m hoping that did not cause my super low hatch rate.
They are two weeks now, but still don’t like any temp below 90...
