OH as for egg cartons - try contacting a local store or restaurant - maybe they will save them for you as they use them. My mom is hording the ones from the store she works at so we'll have plenty to get started with - LOL and we are just hoping to supply us, her and maybe a few neighbors...

I just purchased eggs here for $3 from a Farmer's Market (yeah my ladies are too young to lay yet) - I've seen them as low as $2 from the farmer them selves not at the market. Good Luck! Louella
