Chickens won't use ramp to nesting boxes

Update: we made the ramp wider, added more cleats and adjusted the angle by puting a block at the bottom. I placed both hens up by the boxes. They both investigated and then laid there 😁 Thanks for all the advice!

Chickens won't use ramp to nesting boxes

Chickens won't use ramp to nesting boxes

We just finished the majority of our coop. Both hens have laid eggs on the floor and can't seem to get up the ramp. How steep is too steep? I need some dimension ideas. My husband tried to recycle a bifold closest door but they can't get up that at all.
