Keep that on the wound so it doesn't dry out for now. Once you get pictures posted, we have some members here that are extremely helpful, experienced and knowledgeable.
I am concerned about the exposed bone, but I am no expert by any means. Some chickens have bounced back from some horrible...
You don't want the wound to dry out. Do you have neosporine (do not use the one with pain relief because this is harmful to birds. Use the original formula only)
If you can find a way to post a picture of the wound, you'll receive more helpful advice. Exposed bone isn't good and a bite from an animal will oftentimes need an antibiotic. Pictures of the wound will make a huge difference in what's suggested.
