I brood mine on the screened porch from the day they arrive. They start out in a little tykes play box and when they start flying I put them in a rabbit cage it is large and airy and cleaning it is easy. yeah, I bring mine out at 1 week to play for an hour. just make sure that the coop is predator proof, and if the weather stays good then you can put them out in the coop permanently at 4 weeks.- Hollywood Chickens
