Um, the pellets aren’t big enough to fit large enough grit into them. My reliable sources are me not seeing any grit in my chicken feed, even when I smash the pellets. Soluble grit is in feed, as it is calcium supplements, but @black_cat needs insoluble grit for her birds. So small rocks and such.

Grit isn’t an additive, it’s a whole separate thing. Grit large enough for a chicken to use would be easy to notice in a bag of food. Can you show a picture of the grit in the food?

I’ve had a couple threads become argumentative, it happens to the worst, and best of us. I searched up the ingredients online, and it doesn’t say there is grit in it. Grit large enough to be a use to chickens would be quite noticeable.

@black_cat what feed do you feed them? I would be suspicious of there being grit in all bagged chicken feed, as even if there was it probably wouldn’t be big enough to be used by the birds.

Does bagged feed have grit in it? I’ve never noticed it.

@black_cat Said that sometimes stuff gets into their chicken run that the girls eat, so they wouldn’t just be eating chicken feed. It’s always good to have grit anyways, since chickens will also eat feathers on the ground for extra protein, and they need grit for those.
