    My thoughts younger pair is about 5-6 months old and the most they've ever flown is maybe 5 feet. Generally speaking, they're too heavy of a breed to fly very high.

    Really no practical way, unfortunately. A roofed enclosure. Why are you opposed to clipping her wings? If done properly, it doesn't hurt them.

    A lot of times geese do go silent if they're terrified of a real threat. My geese honk when they see me because it's more like, "hey, how are you doing!" And they will hiss and puff up and potentially attack something and it may or may not be a bluff, depending on if they have babies to protect...

    I have pilgrims, plus one buff/pilgrim mix. They're supposed to be more docile, but they scream as loud as heck when they see me. I haven't had other kinds of geese, so I don't know how they compare to a supposedly noisier breed.
