I was wondering if I could get some help. I picked up 2 buff Brahmas. The darker one is from a buff Brahma roo and dark Brahma hen. The second, lighter one, is from a buff Brahma roo and a light Brahma hen. They are should be about 6 weeks now.
Can you tell if they are male or female? I was...
Okay, just wanted to share. Went out today and snapped some shots. But had to post my favorites.
Sisters, Lacy and Lacie. Always together.
As chicks
As pullets
As Hens
My Brahmas are breeding...
My first baby...I am so tickled!

I went and looked. Pretty cool, but not sure if I like or not. I love the characteristic of the current colors. Gives them more personality. With solid black its lost.
Sorry, resubmitting my previous question
I keep getting the answer "Brahmas" or "chicks".
I have seen other posts talking about how mixing colors changes with the offspring. I am curious so I know whether I need to get second Brahma rooster.
I order an assortment of brahmas eggs last year and I now have a dark Brahma roo with 2 light hens and 1 buff hen.
Hens have been laying for a couple of months and the buff is now glued to her cubby hole on the eggs.
Curious as to what colors I may see/get.
Any ideas?
Okay, I'm a little confused. I am not planning on showing my chicken, but... Where are you showing your chickens at? I looked at the local festival/fair rules near me, just curious what was all involved.
Is that where you show? Cause it seems odd to me to leave your chicken there for so long...
I am maintaining the temp (100), humidity is at 40 (when I had it higher I was getting quitters), and I leave them for 18 hours to set before putting in the incubator. Oh, and I am using forced air.
I guess from watching others on here, I see them having more development whether they hatch or...
Could someone help with knowing who or how to buy brahma eggs. I have had bad luck on getting fertile eggs. I have 2 separate hatches going now. The first batch has only 50% developing and the second batch only has 1 out of 5 developing. They were really clear for brown eggs, no veins, no...
Its a hatchery that has been recommend on this site's forums. So I thought I would be okay.
I don't mind that she isn't pure. But I'm sure they will keep selling them as pure.
Help....Is she a cross breed?
I posted this picture on another thread, and I was told she wasn't a pure brahma.
I contacted the hatchery, and they said that Buff Brahmas can have yellow or gray skin. And that she is 100% Brahma.
Who is right? Other than the gray skin, she is the same as...
