Thanks all! Judging from photos on other threads it sure seems as though he's a cockerel, but it also seems as though a few surprises pop up, here and there. It would sure be nice if chickens had the external bits like everyone else. ;)

Darn. I guess I might end up having to introduce a rooster to the flock this coming spring.

Awe, I was hoping for a roo. That one behaves differently from the other polish hen, being a bit more alert, more calm, and far more defensive against the other hens. Alas, it's roughly still the size as the polish I know for sure is a hen. They're about 17 weeks.
