    I have a Silkie x OEGB and she's the broodiest thing I've ever seen. She first went broody after her first couple of eggs, in the winter. Then her chicks were 6 weeks old and she went broody again and the cycle goes on. She'll set any eggs.

    Your right about that. I mainly got silkies to hatch other eggs for me. They have turned out to be the best of pets for the kids, they love them.

    They are not laying but I think it is only going to be a little bit bigger than a silkie with a little more weight. I am also interested to see what size eggs they lay. My neighbor eats her silkies eggs although small she said they are good.
