Thank you... they just had their 1st outing with Momma... so cute. Going to post a blog on it

The last 4 eggs... are no good. 3 had nothing in them but egg... the last one had a chick but it was not ready and dead... But the good news is we have 7 healthy BO chickies with momma, Did good for our 1st hatch.

Alright guys... we have 7 baby chickies now and 4 more eggs to go, they havent pipped so I dont know if they are going to make it? I'm giving them a couple more days. As long as mommas sitting on them I guess all is good!

Thanks... Ours might get to raise 11 if they all hatch, lol They are so stinking cute!

Took pics this morning, they are not very good But there is 5 yellow chickies under Momma now 5 chickies so far So Sweet Buff Orpington chickie

There will be more pics. in the morning... So far they all look to be BO chickies... I cant remember if I put any RIR eggs under her and I know I didnt put any bantam eggs under her... we had 3 BO roosters and 1 Bantam rooster

Went to the coop to collect eggs and checked on our broody... 1 egg is hatching!!!!! Oh my gosh I'm sooooooo I just want to scream! Going back to see if I can get a pic. Keep ya'll posted!

Thanks... I seen on the web stuff about "yolker" eggs... I really hope thats not what they are! I didnt candle 8 of them soooo I pray I get a couple chickies out of them, I dont expect all of em to hatch. Guess this Wed. and Thurs. I'll find out.......

Today is day 15 and I tried my hand at candling... only took 3 eggs from the nest to candle... the 1st egg was the 11th egg that got added 2-3 days after I put the 10 eggs under Momma BO and it was all clear, light shined right through it. The other 2 were very dark, couldnt see any light...
