    I used the egg carton method again and 11 of 13 eggs that went in the hatcher have hatched!! I am sold on doing it this way!!!!!!

    I'm surprised they just sat in the shells. The ones I've done that way, haven't wasted much time at all jumping/falling out of the shell and carton.

    I put my next little batch (3 eggs) in last night and have a pip now on one of them. It sure worked well for my blue orps last week-end.

    I never did think all that bumping and rolling around was doing the others any good....especially the shipped ones. I figure they've got enough going against them already. It will be interesting to see everyone's results on this.

    Zunibee.....after I read your post and your results I decided to give it a go.....so far so good. 3 blue orps, 1 marans, and 1 BLRW are out. That is so cool how they zip and then just push their "lid" off. Looks exactly like it did in your after picture. I've got 2 more pips that I can see...

    So are you removing them soon after they hatch....do they just kind of "fall out" of the carton?
