Yeah I'll just make sure to watch it closely and give it a good test run a few days before adding the eggs. I have everything else she mentions so Hopefully it will work well.
Ouch. She mentions that Water Heaters are not good, Yet that's what I have, With no time to get anything else. Ugh. I guess we will continue with the way we planned, And just try to monitor it more closely.
Thank you :) Yeah My plan is to definitely wait until I have them all. The first 1/2 Dz will be here tomorrow and then we are getting another DZ from a local farmer on Thursday.
My daughter really loves animals, But she's allergic to most Indoor animals, and she's extremely interested in the hatching process of chicks, So I really hope this work out well for us. For her especially.
When I was younger, My family used homemade Incubators and I know they had pretty high success rates, So I'm going to try to do the same. And I can't pull myself to spend 200+$ on something that could take 20$ and some electrical experience to do. Not with just doing small hatches.
That's awesome! As of this moment, I have 6 eggs that will arrive tomorrow from a farm just an hour or so away. Plus my husband is going to get a few more this weekend. Maybe 1-1/2 Dz More.
That's awesome! We wanted to do it all DIY, Without an official Incubator, But with enough supplies to try to get the best hatch possible. We will probably do that. Three Times A Day.
Thank you! Her specialist actually recommended that we do this to help her Autism. She's ridiculously smart. And Just Turned Three Years old. She's completely involved in preparing for the eggs.
Oh okay! I'm just hoping they lay colored eggs. Haha That's what my daughter is most interested in. She's wise beyond her age and is interested in Animals and life cycles as opposed to dolls and toys. My order says "Ameracuna (easter egger) Hatching Eggs."
We are picking them up this week. We are getting Three Rhode Island Reds and Three Ameracuna's. Plus my husband Informed me this morning that he and a family friend are going to possibly get some more this weekend. I'll do the X and O trick! This may be a silly question, But since the eggs...
This is my first time Hatching Eggs on my own. Other than as a kid with Adults supervising the process. We are doing a DIY Styrofoam cooler Incubator, And a Large Rubbermaid as the Brooder. We will get the eggs at the end of this week. My husband wired up the thermostat, Fan, And lighting for...
