There is probably alot of inflammation inside of her so you def want to keep her on the meds full term. I read an article some years back in Hobby Farms mag where they were specifically growing Comfrey for livestock feed.I don't know why hubby's are always so worried when we are the ones taking...
I would def say yes stay on this program this is what @Amiga did I believe. Awesome news @Kangasox At least something positive is happening . Hope your mom feels better too. Oh and my birds like to eat comfrey too. Hope you all have a great vacation ducks and all.
I'd say a pill would need to be crushed up and added to a bit of liquid before going down. Place the corn/peas in a small bowl with meds and see if they will eat them that way. I wish there was an easy solution. Glad Amiga is here to help.

@Kangasox go to this thread it will show you how to admin meds I get my dh to hold the bird wrapped in a towel. Then I pry open the mouth and use a needle less syringe to put meds down...
@Kangasox is there anyway you could move the vacation up a week so you could keep them home and together more relaxed and actually you all too. That would be pretty stressful for everyone to be in a car with 3 kids 2 dogs and 1 or 2 ducks. Where would hubby sit? I'm assuming there is a hubby...
I'm going to let @Amiga answer most of your questions since she has been through it successfully. I believe depending on the antibiotic there is a 14 to 21 day waiting period before eating eggs of poultry that have been on antibiotics.
Warm baths, calcium supplementation, keeping her quiet.
@Amiga is better with this Kanga but If at all possible I would take her to the vet. I'll see if I can find the thread Amiga posted on for another member. .
