    I can just imagine how the dirt would look around that bucket too. The coop floor would be a mud pit. Water fowl are so messy.

    Great idea for chickens not sure it would work very well for water fowl being at ground level unless you covered most of the bucket to keep them from climbing in.

    If any of you buy heated buckets place a piece of scrap board over half and fasten down with screws it will help keep them out of those too.

    To keep their drinking water from freezing? I suggest heated buckets they work great and I have a few that are still working at5 yrs old
