    I think if you add shelter to the run, such as the plastic, you are set. Mine drink out of the nipples all summer. In the summer they need a lot more water, and I can keep a lot of water there. In the winter, the water needs drop with the temperature, and the bowls will work fine. Mrs K

    Do put a lot of bedding in the run. If I know snow is coming, I will rake it up into mini hay stacks, after the snow, I flip it out on top of the snow. This encourages the birds outside.
