    My Wundaful flock!

Cleaning day!!! So I've resorted to using bricks to build up around the pools, and put 2 together. I'd love to do something pretty and fancy, but all my ideas are permanent structures that I just can't do. So neat and tidy it is. I've had to put everyone back together as poor sweet Lucky...

    My Wundaful flock!

An update on the three maidens! They get to be house yard ducks. So long as they behave. Lucky is her normal miscevious self, Cookie is all grown up, and my black girl, well she needs a name. Bonus points if you guess her cross.

    My Wundaful flock!

I did some seperating yesterday, as I suspected the pekin and muscovy are the piggys who eat all the food. The runners and cayugas feeder was still a third full this morning but the pekins was completely empty. In Lucky ducky news, she's gotten good at digging ponds. She'd much rather wallow in...

    My Wundaful flock!

Time for a ducky update. I really don't like this locked up all the time nonsense so we've been doing a little supervised outside time everyday. Of course, we no longer have the feed shed here so they naturally want nothing to do with me. I miss them running laps around that shed as I bucketed...

    My Wundaful flock!

No bears here. But they sound like giant mumma dingoes. Yeah no intention to approach them. Theres plenty of safe hidey holes around the creek to admire the birds. I think I will finally tick bird watching offmy bucket list this year

    My Wundaful flock!

Happy easter everyone! So yesterday we got to do a walk through of the new property, and more importantly the hen house where the ducks will be staying. First off, its way bigger then I remembered. And its straight!!!! (My current one is bent from a tree falling on it) we will have to apply a...

    My Wundaful flock!

Due to molting and us being relocated to another property soon, these poor duckys are going to have to stay locked up to contain the feathers. I feel like I could make a single size duvet with the feathers so far. I swear the pekin drake just shakes and there's feathers flying everywhere!

    My Wundaful flock!

I'm good at killing plants, unless they pop up in the chicken coop, then I have great success! I had a stack of pumpkins year before last, and currently I have a heap of corn thats popped up. I'm moving in 3-4 weeks about an hour away and I believe there is a vege patch there.
