I was a bit sad about it so I didn’t do an eggtopsy until today. The remaining chicks were fully formed but none had pipped internally. One was in position to hatch but the rest didn’t have their heads turned properly. I’m thinking there were humidity issues and maybe a temp fluctuation that...

So only eggs 4 and 5 hatched. I still have the rest in the incubator but I’ve given up hope that they are going to hatch. :( I candled but no movement or internal pips that I can see. Today is day 23.

Still only 1... I opened the incubator to grab him because he was pooping on all the other eggs. The other pipped chick is still peeping inside the egg. Still no visible pips from the others.

Technically today is day 21. I was surprised to see them pip yesterday but wonky temps could explain it. I’ll just keep working on the brooder and try to relax! Thanks for your reassurance :)

Still just the one totally out, the other that pipped is still working on unzipping. I can’t see any pips from the other 6. Should I be getting worried? :/

Number 4 is out!

Not much to report yet, I can still only see 2 eggs with external pips but there may be more I can’t see. I’m checking in every hour or so - the chirping is so cute!
