Amy, I got a couple last minute ?'s for you or anyone! #1 Can I drop my temp. to 98 in lockdown and humidity up to 70%? #2 I was using the shelf liner with newspaper under it in the brooder. After 3 days use pine shavings. Is that correct or can I use the pine from day 1? It's hatching time!!!

PD, I was looking for my book to answer your question but couldn't find it! I think there was only 1 bird with a lower temp. and all the rest was higher temps.! The only thing I can say is maybe google a incubation chart! I think I seen chart on Brinsea.com under incubation info! Sorry I can't...

I bet that is the problem cause as soon as I took my Silkie off the shelf liner it got it! What about pine needles I never seen that before?

I think some clears and some veining! But a couple look kinda like a cloud! I do leave them if I'm not sure. I guess ducks develop a little later since they have more days.

May I ask what kind of development you see at day 9 with your ducks? Like I said I have Blue Swedish set and feel like I'm not quite seeing development as I should on day 9! I candled just a bit ago and don't see movement. All I read is on chicken and what I should see with them.

Have you ever seen or used Hatch Rite spray on your eggs? I think a Ag company makes it! You add water to it and mist eggs before you set them. Thanks Amy SO much!! So, They are safe after day 13 left on 1 side! Would you know if it's day 13 on my duck eggs or would it be longer? Will the air sac still be in the same place when I do my candling? I know this is prob. here on the site but I'm still trying to learn how to navigate on BYC! LOL!
