OH, why didn't I think of this before. Around 3-4 days ago, just when this started to appear. They did eat ALOT of wood shavings and paper towel, that's another story. But let me tell you, they sure acted like wood shavings were a treat.
There's a pic of the suspect on post #10. It's red/orange as you can see. As far as I know there is absoloutly nothing that they could have eaten that would cause them to have those things in their droppings.
It says gapeworms are round? These worms a orangish/red and stringy.
ETA: The tractor supply is 45-60 minutes away. I doubt my parents would drive me there.
I've just about searched every poop with strings in it, I threw them away though. In the next few hours if any strings appear I'll get a picture, though it may not be the best. The chicks were bought from a poorly cleaned feed store, I wouldn't be surprised if they contracted worms there.
At first it looked like blood, uh oh. Cocci? No. After playing around with the poo the red strings were NOT blood. They were just red...well.. red, squishy, strecthy, strings! Sometimes there was one red string, and sometimes there were as many as 10 strings. When streched all the way they are...
