I felt like I had to add shavings every time I turned around because of how wet and gross it got. I may just cover the other half.

Are they good with drainage? Is it something I would have to add too often?

I have a hoop coop and only part of it is covered. When it rains the half that isn’t covered can stay muddy for a while since it’s under a tree.

I’m debating on starting to put sand in my coop instead of using the dirt floor due to how muddy it gets. I am curious to what type of sand I should use? Thanks for the help.
