After hearing this myth yet again in a Facebook group today (for emus, of all places for it to show up) I thought it might be a good time to bump this thread up so all the newcomers who are getting ducks for the first time this spring can see it.

That is correct, as long as the feed is medicated with Amprolium, it is safe. Make sure to supplement with niacin for the ducklings, of course. You might find you want to brood them separately for an entirely different reason though, haha. Ducklings are wet and messy. A damp brooder isn't good...
