Oddly enough "special quail" is my favorite. So, I would think that trimming the beak would be painful... isn't it bone? Sorry for all the newbie things, I've never had quail before!

I've only had them a week. They looked the same then as they do now. And I'm fuming right now. Now I've got to try to figure out who is who... #1 and #2 are in the same cage and still look identical to me males are the only ones that crow, right? Now I know why he gave them to me in the box...

Just to help me with future identifying... I thought my #1 and #2 could have been twins. What is different about #2 that makes you say hen?
