Green streaks is just uneven saturation of the blue gene... we see that in blue ducks with occasional black feathers too... he is very handsome! :)
Awesome! She is gorgeous!! :love
Absolutely gorgeous!!
He definitely has a blue gene, charcoal head and washed out speculum show that... does she have a blue speculum, or is it faded a bit?
Oddly enough, I have a drake that's similar to her we hadn't figured out what he is either... but, he has a blue gene as well... his duckling down was slightly different, but similar to ThreeWillows duckling, lol... I will have to see if I can dig it up, but here he is now... please forgive him...
And looks like you helped me as well!! :D
WV, remember this girl?
And see the first pic in ThreeWillows post I quoted? Looks like I might have created a Silver Appleyard Call, lol.
Very welcome... :D
And btw, those very well could be the parents... or part of the parents... blue gene in drakes dilutes the green head to steel grey or charcoal and also dilutes/washes out/fades the speculum (blue wingbar)...
Those look like Calls... bills are not as short or wide as what is wanted, but they have the roundness, short legs, shorter and thicker necks and nice rounded crowns of the heads...
I'm no expert by any means, still an amateur as far as I am concerned and can very well be wrong at any time as well, lol...
That being said, you kept the lightest of the 3 ducklings, yes? That down color looks like it has a blue gene involved as well... did you take more pics when they were...
