    First time crowing!

Just to clarify, he wouldn’t be going into our freezer!!! We could never do that ourselves. Once your our pet, you live here until old age takes you!! But the place I had as my back up to take him to if necessary was no guarantee he’d stay in the flock. We decided we are going to try and keep him.

    First time crowing!

True dat! People just need to spread the love not the negative! My guy that crowed today (Gwennie - we thought he was a she "Gwendolyn") he also developed what I believe to be a cataract so I don't want to rehome a defective chicken to someone else. The other one we know is a boy for sure...

Thanks @Homesteadermomma6382 & @Ihavesomechickens , I have been thinking of trying to keep one of my boys... I think I may just give it a go! They're too handsome to send else where... especially freezer camp!

    First time crowing!

He is precious!! I've always wanted bantams, that's what I wanted years ago but everyone laughed at me because apparently (according to my family) they aren't "real chickens". I WILL have them someday!!! What type of bantam is Sebring?

    First time crowing!

I went out to open the coop this morning and found that Gwennie woke up with his big boy voice. He did it 3 times for me. Even though I have to rehome my roosters is it weird I’m proud of him??
