    Unfortunately that's usually the case. Puppies just don't have a strong enough immune system to survive it without 24/7 constant supportive care, and even then the odds are very low. So sorry for your loss. Hope things get better for you.

    Where were they being housed? They should not have been able to contract it if kept in the house. Distemper is fatal in almost everything if left untreated. The mother should have her vaccines.
