We are hatching 11 Silver Appleyards which are all fertile, at the moment if you want to follow. I'm hoping to catch some hatching on video in the glass bator.
They are doing really well. Winifred can walk and will be outside with the others tonight. Sophia is now Sylvia, she's back to normal as well. Another older duckling got the shakes but it's all good too.
We give them their dose of B3 in their peas daily.
Thank you for all your great advise.

Sophia is a lot better. I could barely tell which duckling she was in the bath. She wasn't complaining, she was diving with all the rest. Winifred has picked up also. She has more control and doesn't wobble as much and she preens more.
They grow so quickly. They're nearly already too big for the tanks. We usually put them in the big one till they can go out into the brooder but it's a sick bay atm. I'm going to have a production line once we move to the farm lol.
I remember that we put Amy in the babies tank cos she was so clucky, and I think I saw her peck a duckling. My husband says the leg was like it before that but I don't think so. It's getting better so it might be just a bruise.
To think about it, she 'talks' a lot lol. She's not in pain and she can use it in the nice and warm bath. She holds it out when she sits even though I can just put my finger under her foot and tuck it under her. She doesn't mind. When she gets up it's stiff again. (peg leg) No swelling or heat...
A week old duckling has a stiff leg. She can bend it but doesn't. She complains loudly in the bath. The others were pecking at it so I put her with younger one's. I have just feeding all of them the B3 yesterday.
Thank you. We have a 2 month old duck who's legs were going rigid, she couldn't walk and we have a month old with shaky legs. We have them inside with us and will put some crushed tablets on some peas, they love them.
We swam them in warm water earlier then sat them on the bed between us with...
We couldn't find the liquid or powder at Petstock, Vet or Pharmacy. All we could get was Nature's Own Vitamin B3 500g. It's for people. I've got a mortar and pestal so I can crush the tablets 500g at a time.
Do I sprinkle it over peas or put it in their food?
I found her sitting and she couldn't walk. Her legs lock rigid and stands like a Runner duck then falls over. We've had her in the bath, fed her peas and chick starter. Now she's inside being watched. She can't walk.
She's eating and drinking and looks ok, she's preening.
