Great info! I will make sure she has all the kinks out before I give her anything to sit on (if she ever goes broody). I was told that they can go broody and some never do. as long as she has eggs in her future and he Is old enough to be viable. Those are my main concerns.

She is not laying and I wouldn’t expect an egg for another week since I think she is still acclimating. I introduced them this week after a week isolation period. My original flock had their first face to face yesterday.

Thanks! They are both Self blue Duccle booted bantams. I plan to breed them next spring and was just hoping that they are the true age and viable for breeding.

I’ve left the main coop today so I’ll have to check the Spurs tomorrow. Here is a picture of the hen that was sold to me as his mated pair. He says she is around the same age... now I am doubting that as well.

I really love his attitude already. He just needs to warm uo to me. He is definitely a self blue male. But how old does he look. Sold to me as “Around 12 weeks.” The breeder tells me he is coming to be fully feathered. I hope his plumage grows out a little more. He is already a good crow...
