I saw that. Laughed out loud. The verb "looking" refers back to the hen. Take out the adverbial phrase, "in my yard," you have "hen looking for advice." A period or semi colon after "yard" would have made it more clear that the poster is looking for advice.

We're down about 5-6" of rain now. That's a sin. Every time they forecast some a few days out, they lessen the likelihood and amount as the day gets closer.

I live near Grand Rapids, MI, and have never gone to see Art Prize. I used to live near Sleeping Bear Dunes, and have never been there, either. I used to live on Torch Lake. It was wonderful. It's much, MUCH more built up now.
