I saw that. Laughed out loud.
The verb "looking" refers back to the hen. Take out the adverbial phrase, "in my yard," you have "hen looking for advice." A period or semi colon after "yard" would have made it more clear that the poster is looking for advice.
Sometimes, I take some TP with me and squat behind a bush. Then I don't have to go up to the house, and don't have an excuse to "take a break" which can suck up half an hour.

We're down about 5-6" of rain now. That's a sin. Every time they forecast some a few days out, they lessen the likelihood and amount as the day gets closer.
