Our lavender araucana (Quaxley) finally laid an egg at 42.5 weeks! Hurrah. The little green egg in the middle. Honestly her comb hasn’t gotten any brighter since 26 weeks…. I can post a pic though.

My Sussex laid her egg on the ground… and they ate it - didn’t leave a trace. They don’t eat nesting box eggs and it could have been broken. Means I have no idea about my Ara though!!

I will post when she does lay- and at the very least she’s a cute pet anyway ❤️

Our Lavender araucana is 31 weeks old today and still no eggs (but has been doing the submissive squat behaviour for weeks). I’ll post a photo.

Our black copper marans laid her first egg today! Exactly 30 weeks old today.

We always buy “extra large” here so it looks small to me as well 😂

So the egg on the right is an older blue egg from Two days ago and the one on the left between the white and brown is from today… I see it as more green now @Hellomylittleladies

I got another but it still seems blue. I’m keen for my Ara to lay to compare!

I think that means in a week (or 3) I am still waiting for my Ara and she has been squatting for 3 weeks. But my olive egger squatted and laid within a week! Fingers crossed it’s soon! We noticed our Black cooper marans squatted yesterday so I’ll know how long that is too.

That is a very bright comb!
