:weeNew chick, and the tiny little one I helped. It’s getting stronger on its legs and is managing to scoot about just fine. The first two are now cuddled up together. This has made me realise we were not hasty in culling two from our last hatch which were born with giant feet and couldn’t stand...
It's not quite on it's feet, it's on its feet but not standing up but it's still looking good so we'll just give it time in the brooder. It's not at all like the Ines we had the last time which we're all floppy, and w have a 3rd pip in the right place this morning. I'm just going to check out...

You guys are the best. Thanks so much for your support. I’ve had a lovely day because I haven’t had too worry too much about what’s happening. I love this forum
Well there are no day olds available so this wee thing better make it. It’s beak is through and more shell broken . And it’s moving in it’s egg a lot! Oh this is hard!! But it has a very enthusiastic cheerleader cuddling right next to it!
I have contacted a poultry supply place to ask about day old chicks near me. Why did I not just do this in the first place. I do better if I have a plan so if for any reason this doesn’t work out I’ll get it a friend. That helps me relax
hi I woke up to one little chick hatched and a pip on one other that I can see at least. But the pip seems in the wrong place. It’s half way down the egg not near the air cell? I think it’s going to be a long day! Does this kind of thing happen and work out??
