Pipped in wrong place

hi I woke up to one little chick hatched and a pip on one other that I can see at least. But the pip seems in the wrong place. It’s half way down the egg not near the air cell? I think it’s going to be a long day! Does this kind of thing happen and work out??

From my own experience it usually works out fine. I've had many chicks pip in the middle or even the pointy end and hatch out just fine.

I had one that pipped near the pointy side just today. Everything was fine and it did not need any assistance.

Aw brilliant. It’s making quite a bit of noise. Fingers crossed! I do hope I get at least two, I don’t want a lonely wee chick

I have contacted a poultry supply place to ask about day old chicks near me. Why did I not just do this in the first place. I do better if I have a plan so if for any reason this doesn’t work out I’ll get it a friend. That helps me relax

Well there are no day olds available so this wee thing better make it. It’s beak is through and more shell broken . And it’s moving in it’s egg a lot! Oh this is hard!! But it has a very enthusiastic cheerleader cuddling right next to it!
