Well, it was the result of a severe injury so after she healed she had to re-learn how to do everything without a beak. There was much frustration at first, and a whole lot of mushy foods, but now she can nub anything as well as a bird with a beak. And face diving into scratch grains works...
I used to live in the Willamette Valley and loved traveling around to enjoy the beautiful lushness no matter which direction I went! Very similar here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
See, I make up for the spider hate with some snake love. I used to have several as pets. Not the copperhead though... I let that one go!
