Would anyone know how/if you can tell if a Silver partridge hen is also blue? I have a couple of what look like splash chicks but my splash roo is only in with a Black hen and a Silver hen.
I suppose there's the chance they're actually paint as I did have a white rooster in there too, but all...
While I'm posting pictures for colour ID... can anyone help me understand the colour of my NN cockerel is? I thought he must be Silver but what else is going on here? Is the red just leakage? Trying to understand so I can plan out my breeding better.
Thank you! I thought that might be the case... I can't really keep anymore boys but the blue will probably stick around longer cause I am trying to get Blue Partridges so I might have to keep him around at least temporarily.
@Hinotori I know you're very knowledgeable about the Partridges. Would you say these showgirls, one is blue Partridge and the other normal? I know the pictures arent the best

After some drama, my silkies girls and my Showgirl chicks are finally here. I'd love some help with IDing the light partridge like silkie colour! She's so beautiful! Would she be a blue partridge?
My Polkie babies are looking really nice!
Also turns out they're accidentally Sexlinked so two girls and a boy, which is nice!
I'll be getting my Showgirls and a few hens this week too!
Interesting. I did pick two pullets/hens from this breeder I believe, they're coming from a different state later this month I think it is. I got a buff (or red? What people call each confuses me...) and a funky coloured partridge that she wasn't able to give me a proper colour name (said...
