Yeah, I guess it would be something you would have if, say, some guests dropped by in the afternoon or a cake you would have with your tea. It's pretty basic, containing: Butter, sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, and caraway seeds. I can PM my recipe to you if you like. If not, that's okay to. :)
It's a cake I grew up with, and it is delicious! Though, you have to find the right recipe, or else the caraway can be way too overpowering. I like mine with a good bit, but not so much that all you're eating is seeds. :)

I'm extremely lazy and will sometimes just pop them in the oven...they often don't turn out, though. Burnt mealworms is not good at all, if you ask me.
This is an interesting question...they honestly are rather bland, in my opinion. I generally put salt on my dried ones. :) You could maybe relate it to a very bland, unseasoned potato chip.
(Oh, great. Now everyone knows. :th ) I have my own mealworm farm, so I know that mine do not have chemicals when I munch on them...I personally find them tasty, but I'm a strange human. Granted, I don't just grab a handful, but they're still good...anyway, I would say it depends on what brand...
