I have my youngest hen laying and one of my original laying. The other 2 are being lazy. We just hatched one chick Saturday and have 3 fertile in this hatch.
My 2 original hens are around 4 years old. Would have 2 check records. Ours quit laying after a round worm problem that popped up after we relocated their coop along with another breed. Both coops got round worms and quit laying.
So happy I have been getting a Coronation egg from my coop, at a rate of about every 2-3 days. As some of you know this is the first eggs I have gotten from my CORO'S in about 6 months. (seems like years). We will be checking fertility this weekend. I think the vitamins helped.
We used to do vitamins on a regular basis but got away from it. Thanks for the reminder. We will order rooster booster but for now we picked up a bottle of nutri drench to start them on tonight
Ours have been great except this year. My hens may be getting little old. We just moved their coop and are hoping getting them away from the horses will help.

We are breeding an unrelated trio of birds. We bought ours straight from Greenfire Farms it was the last set of breeders they sold. We bought 4 but sadly one didn't make the trip. So we have not had to reintroduce any Light Sussex into ours but we are planning to ad some fresh hens in 2015 so...
