Thanks for the help. I brought her in for a necropsy today along with another sick bird and a bird that died two days ago. I will let you know what they found out.
I haven't noticed any sneezing. She is not laying any eggs.
I'll try to take some more pics and get a better description of what it is.
No, I do not have a vet around here. There must not be many chicken people around here, 'cause our local co-ops and farm/hardware/garden stores don't carry...
Update: Her head is still swollen to about the same size. She is eating and drinking fine. The only difference is that the skin around the bulge is red now, more like the color of the comb.
I still don't know what it is or what to do. It kinda looks like an abscess-type bulge.

I noticed that my year old Faverolle hen has an extremely swollen face on one side. I do not know what it is or how to treat it. Anyone know what it is or how to treat it?
