Haha no it really wasn’t too bad. The initial part was pretty traumatic, but after that I was ok. I was already bawling when I went to get him off the roost. Cleaning him wasn’t so bad though. All I had to do was think about all the times he flogged me. :barnie

I feel sad about losing one of my chickie babies but happy that I don’t have to watch my back when I walk into the coop. He was a beautiful bird though!

Haha! Just as I’m not an early bird. I think I will just clean him in the kitchen. With 3 kids, a bird shouldn’t be much more than what has to be cleaned everyday anyways! :lau I’ll do my best to keep all my fingers intact ;)

Good idea! That's what I was thinking about doing it when it's dark so they can't see. But then I couldn't as well... Once I do it I won't have to watch my back anymore when I walk outside. That would be really great. That's something to look forwards to and good motivation to go ahead and do it.

I haven't done it yet :oops: I was planning on doing it today, but it is starting to look like I won't have enough time. I will try to see if I have time after work over the week, but if not, I will do it next weekend.

I am now doing it tomorrow when I have more time to set up and get everything ready so I don't have to do it in the dark.
