Agreed. Although I've seen some pretty crazy big red combs on 12 week old buff pullets. Which is why I prefer to sex by feathers. There's always some exceptions to the combing.

Buff Orp is the only cockerel.

First is a cockerel. Looks like a White Rock. Second is an Easter Egger pullet.

Their faces are young enough looking that they shouldn't have combs as large as that. Their feathers are male, and they have typical male faces. I don't judge by tail feathers at this age. They're beautiful boys.
