Ok. Do the hens live long. I will have them as pets and layers. I have one hen I forgot what breed she is but she is 5 1/2 right now and lays the biggest eggs in the coop. How about Delaware?

:lau I have always wanted one but my mom will not let me get one. If I did she would kill me! She let me get cranes instead. :D

I was thinking, I will be adding some more hens to my flock and I was wondering what breed lays the largest brown egg. Has anybody heard of white jersey giant hens? I will be ordering chicks in the end of May. :D
