I have no idea, someone needed to rehome her and two other hens so I took them in. They were 8 months old at the time. So no idea what she is. She lays light tan eggs.
Cocoa's acting off and I'm not sure what's wrong, I created another thread about her. ->

Yes! So you think I should keep her with the flock all the time now? I don't want her to re-injury herself or something if she's not completely healed.
At this point I'm think Cocoa really does have a permanent limp. She's still limping and I'm not noticing her getting better, unless its just very slightly.
The last two nights and tonight she's out in the coop with the others, she gets around perfectly fine and is a happy little hen.
She has made progress compared to how she first was, but I feel like she's been the same for 2 weeks or so. Unless she's just very slowly healing and its not too noticeable. I do hope she doesn't have a limp forever.
I am glad she can be out, she likes it very much, and she doesn't need...
I thought I should get another video of Cocoa, so here it is.
That's how she is when walking. Sometime soon I'll have to try and get a video of her running.
I have her outside all day with the flock free ranging, and bring her inside at night. She seems to be fully integrated back into the...
Yes, almost everyday I let her out with the flock while free ranging, for quite a few hours. She's does well, but mostly keeps to herself and is away from the flock. Some of the other hens do pick on her, because they know she's weak I assume. Also since she's been isolated a lot.
Since I don't...
She gets around perfectly fine and is normal when I have her outside. She just hops on one leg when running and limps when walking. I hope she doesn't have a permanent limp. 😢
When will I know if her leg doesn't get any better? How long would I need to wait and keep her separated?
Yes! I know it'll probably be another couple weeks until she's completely better...
Sometime this week I'm planning on putting my cockerel in the main coop, separated from the flock though, and putting Cocoa in the prefab where the cockerel is currently. She's well enough that I think she'd be...
I would definitely do that if I could, but my prefab is currently occupied by my new cockerel. If I didn't have him in there I would put Cocoa in there.
Of course Cocoa had to get injured while my prefab is being used, lol.
When I'm home (Which is all the time practically. 😂) I suppose I...
Poor Cocoa is bored, lol! She's been being louder and walking around more. So everyday I take her outside for a bit.
When she walks she puts her foot down and uses it some. When she runs she keeps it up.
Cocoa seems to be a bit better and is using her leg a tiny bit more. She's gotten her dewormer everyday and tomorrow is the last day for that.
She laid another perfect egg today.
