Here is a picture of sweet Zoe. She went broody and would not quit so I gave her some eggs to sit on. She was then joined on the nest by two others. At one point they were on 19 eggs! I candled and threw out 5. They started hatching one by one since they were spread out about 17 days...
I have 1 Drake who is the first picture. The three ducks are his original duck and their two daughters. I should have 6 eggs by this Thursday. If that does not work we can figure it out. I always have eggs, just need to know so they don't get washed and put in the fridge. I have no idea how old...
They always seem to be heading away from me. Lol
I am saving up a few to stick under my frustratingly persistent broody turkey hen.
But after that we can arrange something. I am off with thru Friday. So like Thursday? They are $3.00 each.
Edited to add: I have a quad. And I am now NPIP tested...
The ducks at my house belong to my daughter. I don't know who she bought them from. We have fertile eggs though that I will sell cheap to you if you are interested.
Update on the Deathlayer chicks. All are thriving! Moved the new brooder box indoors after the light switch was turned off in garage killing my only two shipped egg Silverudds Blue (Isbar) to hatch, a White Ameracauna and a turkey poult. Saved the other three Ameracauna and the turkey. So...
I had two separate hatches of only one duckling. My in-laws took them both. I have had terrible hatches for ducks and turkeys. Not sure what's up with that. Turkeys are done laying for this year I guess. Might try some more ducks if there is interest in the ducklings, but I don't want to get...
I am beyond excited! The newest additions to my flock arrived today! They are 8 Deathlayer chicks from Greenfire Farms. Myself and a partner went together on an auction for 16 chicks. They shipped all the way from Florida yesterday and arrived in great shape this morning. Made the drive to the...
Hello, haven't dropped in here in a while. How's everyone doing? My flock is picking up the pace. Need this snow gone so I can get the breeders separated. Or at least temps above freezing so I don't have to run heated water. Hatching is going on at my place, Turkeys, some Serama, 4 Shipped egg...
Some time Marek's can present with neck, wing or leg paralysis. Also coccidiosis can cause paralysis also as well as Vitamin B deficiencies might want to try trading for those. Just throwing out a few possibilities. Hope he gets better soon.
What kind of ducks are you looking for? I have fawn and white Indian Runner eggs in the bator now doing a fertility test. I will be selling the babies they hatch. Let me know if you want some.
