    First time EVER hatching

Thank you for the advice I’ll keep that in mind next time unfortunately my chick that hatched didn’t make it, and my other two eggs never hatched thanks to my incubator getting the temp up to 104/105 but it said it was 100. I threw out the non name brand incubator and will be getting the one my...

Thank just informed the husband we need to get that from the feed store as soon as they open. It did survive the night still very wobbly but walking a bit more it’s under the brooder with shaving I haven’t seen it try to eat or drink anything. I’m about ready to put thing between my breasts and...

That’s what I found on google it does seem to want to rest a lot. So I’m letting it do just that, hopefully it survives the night. I’m hoping the other two eggs start pipping soon.

    First time EVER hatching

Same with the 8 silkies my mother just hatched that’s what’s got me worried. But honestly it’s still got membrane dried on it’s feather in certain spots so I’m thinking Dawn antibacterial soap, warm water, a soft tooth brush and a rag will help get the rest off. The little things names Easter I...

    First time EVER hatching

It’s moving around here and there and is chirping. It’ll stand for a bit then fall over and stay like that. I don’t know how long it usually takes for them to start walking, but it’s a wobbly little thing can hardly walk.

    First time EVER hatching

Yes it’s gotten its feet underneath itself but it’s having trouble walking around still. This is a lot of what it’s doing. It’ll try to get up and walk a couple of steps then fall down like that. But it’s got determination so it’s trying to keep going. This is my first time hatching so I don’t...

    First time EVER hatching

No pips not sure on the chirping due to the chick chirping and not seeing egg move had to move them into a corner so the other chick doesn’t keep rolling them around. I removed the bowl of water there is water at the bottom of the incubator as well I read somewhere to do both if humidity isn’t...

    First time EVER hatching

I put vented drawer grip in there to help him be able to stand or at least get its feet under itself lol. It works for my mother it should work for me it won’t move when it’s flopping around

    First time EVER hatching

No unfortunately the vent isn’t fully closed it looks like an umbilical cord so I haven’t touched there. But I was able to get the second membrane that’s dried to chick off and it’s back in the incubator flopping around I’ve got a couple of rags along the sides in there for it to sit on. But it...

There were no veins it was all transparent or yellow so I highly believe the poor thing was starting to dry out.

Okay so the second membrane is drying onto the chick it looks that’s what was causing the beak to dry to the first membrane the chick is starting to turn a dark yellow? What’s that mean? Is the second membrane drying out?
