No, I think those are Jacobins. I have Satinettes, Classic Frills. I didn't care for the Jacobins when I first saw them, but they are growing on me. But until I get more room, I think I'll stick to what I have.

So many choices! I have to agree with everyone so far. Ducklings are huge mess makers, but dang ducklings are so cute. :D I love my calls, small, easier on my duck math since they don’t take up as much room lol. They are decent layers when they lay, but seem to be seasonal layers and the girls...

Mallards and rouens are similar. I can never remember, one has 2 eye stripes, the other has 1, but I always confuse them. Mallards are smaller, I believe. I wonder if she escaped from a predator and may be in a bit of shock. Ducks are not known to be so friendly, especially with strangers...

Have you had any issues with the paper cartons? I considered using the 30-egg cartons for my “test” cabinet run, but was a little worried about the paper. I set 51 chicken eggs last week. :hide
