Thats great! I had a chicken who loved to look out the window! I bet she is more comfortable in the sling, good job! Here is a video for a chicken walker when she gets up and mobile again! http://www.majesticwaterfowl.org/mmissue61.htm
And another,
Maybe you should try putting her back in the chicken sling, it will make her more comfortable then laying on the ground. If you do try, you should put her in at night, so she will he less "flappy and restless". I think it would be more comfortable for her. You can also build her a chicken...
Well that is good news! It sucks that the nurse didn't tell the doctor about the leg! I hope she continues to get better! So glad the vet could help! You are doing great with her!
The best thing to do would have vet check it. Maybe is a broken leg? A least that would be treatable, I am so sorry you have to go through this, it must be hard. You are doing great!
You need to tube feed her, otherwise she will pass. if you are not comfortable with tube feeding you need to find someone who is okay with culling her for you. You can start a conversation with @casportpony or @Isaac 0 about the supplies and ways to tube feed since they aren't responding very...
I would go for tube feeding if she won't eat from a syringe but it is very likely you will hav not tube feed her, or make the decision to cull to decide what you are capable of. @Isaac 0 is good with tube feeding as well
@casportpony @Overo Mare @Wyorp Rock
Try squire feeding her. Mush up some chicken feed and give it to her through a syringe, put it right on the inside of her mouth and se if she will eat it. I am sorry I don't have much more info for you.
Yes, she will be much more comfortable in the sling you jus don't want to stress her. Try at night, I like that idea. Good luck, I hope she does well! :hugs
Okay, no sling then. Alright well if you wanted to try again, maybe put a strap over her back to keep her in, but if she doesn't like it then maybe just stick with a kennel. You will want to clip her feathers back away from her butt so when she's sitting she doesn't get a messy butt again. I...
I like the chickens sling idea! Just make sure that she gets outside each day to sit in the grass and maybe hobble around a bit! She will be much more comfortable in the sling then sitting on her bum. Good job, and I would clean the vent feathers with the hot water massage idea you had, then you...
You could give her baby aspirin coated on some meal worms or dissolved in water. You could giver her CBD too. You can get CBD fo birds on amazon, kinda expensive but may be worth it.
Its probably a sprain that will clear up on its own. If you keep her chill an don moving for a few days or a week with food and water close by, then she should get better right quick! Put some vitamins in her water and put her out in the grass a little bit per day supervised, so she could get...
