50 Chickens in an 8ftX10ft tractor?

Quote: What if you were to get some kind of livestock paneling to put between the PVC and the tarp? I know the local tractor supply sells these long cattle/livestock panels, it looks like fence but it's very sturdy. I think it may help you with the tarp problem. -Kim

50 Chickens in an 8ftX10ft tractor?

See, I would have thought that wood would have lasted longer than PVC. Simply because the PVC used in these plans is only 1" in diameter and it seems pretty flimsy in the stores. I think it would warp fairly easily, but then again that's just me and my assumptions. How well does PVC hold up...

50 Chickens in an 8ftX10ft tractor?

Now, see that's what I thought. I've seen those meaties and they get pretty big, and fast! Just thought that seemed to be too crowded, you'd have to move it just about every hour for the tractor to be effective. LOL I don't think they are allowed to free-range, I think they are simply...

50 Chickens in an 8ftX10ft tractor?

I was just googling chicken tractors out of boredom and found a farm that raises pastured poultry in tractors. On their website they say they raise 50 chickens in an 8X10 tractor. I don't know about you, but 50 birds in an 8X10 tractor seems a bit pushing it. Since these are for meat products, I...
