    Hey Miss Lydia thanks that is what I am talking about. What about cattails? I know I pass a swampy area that has a lot of them in it so I know they grow around here. Do you have any? I have heard they can get out of control. Anyone have any experience? Thanks again

    So back to the original question,,,anyone have any idea on plantings around a duck/goose pond? I am thinking maybe some milo, wild rice, lilies, uhh...anyone have any suggestions? Do your ducks eat ornamental grasses? Anything they leave alone? Would like to put some foliage around the pond...

    I understand that and I am with you...unfortunately the wife is not of the same mind! I just ordered a snake trap and I will see what we get. If it is a non-poisonous snake I may just let it go. Is there any problem with snakes in the pond with the ducks/geese?

    Anyone use grasses such as pampas grass, fountain grass, etc around their pond? I like the idea of the willow tree as there are not many trees around the pond right now. Any plantings that are NOT duck/goose safe or that they don't eat? Thanks again everyone. Rick
