    Either it was the default or I unknowingly made it so. Threadloom is always checked when I click on search button.

    Searches have always been fickle, and not just here, and a moving target as technology 'advances'.

    I'd use advanced search, 'search threads', keyword+ keyword, titles only, and 'by member'. Sometimes fewer keywords works better.

    I used to use that function a lot. But I'll get used to it not being there, just like the 'all images in thread' function.

    Still doesn't seem to work for finding just posts by a certain member tho.... ...maybe they are still working on that?

    So if I have threadloom clicked here, then go to advanced search, is it using threadloom? If I click 'make default' here, will it always use threadloom from the other pages?: Or do I have to use this link every time I want a supposedly better search? Not sure I have the energy to document...

    Another cranky old woman....the search has never been great here, since I joined in 2012. Now it's easier to just use google than explain the deficiencies. I've found some work-arounds, mostly just adjusting my expectations. :D
