    Not unusual for a bird to go off feed and act a bit lethargic, at least for a few days, during molt. Glad to see she's perking back up.

    Molting can make them feel funky....and eating can taper off. Here it only seems to last a few days then they perk back up.

    It is indeed possible. A rare blessing to have a savvy cockerel. Time will tell. Eh, oft repeated, not necessarily effective. It would have to be applied daily, and can gather all kinds of 'dirt'. IMO, it's best to leave hands off frostbite, before and especially after.
